Batman: Arkham Series Cosplay
Julian Checkley is one of the world's most serious cosplayers, and with the much-hyped Batman: Arkham Knight dropping today worldwide for the Xbox One and Playstation 4, we thought we would take a look at one of Julian's more serious Batman costumes. Modelled after the batsuit in the third episode, Origins, this costume was completely 3D-printed, features fold-able batarangs, a mulit-media wrist computer and a workable fireball-slinging gauntlet.
He told Neatorama,
"Because this is my sole hobby and passion, my budget for doing it is set pretty high. This also allows me to take the costumes to the next level, not only in creating the look of the character but making them . . . function in reality. Every piece of the costume is sculpted, fabricated, painted and weathered as accurately as possible. These costumes don’t just have to look good, but also perform well and be resilient when I put the suit on."
Checkley has turned heads previously for both his Star Wars and bat-villain Bane costumes (below), all of which lend themselves to his 6'6" frame. He resides with his wife in Ireland.
